Patufet is our largest rocket built to date. As a consequence, this enables the fitting of a huge payload bay, which can deliver multiple satel·lites above one thousand meters. For instance, on its second launch Patufet carried a PocketQube from the Horus mission, also from UPC Space Program.

Also, this rocket has the capability of deploying parachutes twice mid descent so soften the touchdown and to secure recovery in perfect conditions. Landing Patufet twice has been an incredible achievement that not all teams can be proud of.

Back in 2023, the primary purpose of the Patufet rocket was to certify our former team leader, Ernest Tortosa, with the TRIPOLI Level 2 certification. At the time, it featured a silver paint scheme with red and black accents. In 2024, the rocket underwent refurbishment to ensure a safe flight for its next mission. During this process, it was updated with its iconic face and the distinctive red-and-white checkered electronics bay.
